The Liquor Marketing Group (LMG) annual conference kicked-off at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel in Hawaii on Friday (Oct 23).

More than 270 delegates enjoyed a spectacular evening at the Poolside, which featured an impressive buffet of local dishes, drinks and live entertainment.

The first of the business sessions was held the following morning, with comprehensive presentations from LMG chairman, Neville Bayfield, LMG chief executive, Doug Misener, AC Nielsen’s, Michael Walton, Blackbelt In Excellence CEO, Peter Thurin, and Brown-Forman’s newly appointed managing director – North Asia, Michael McShane.

LMG has been holding conferences since 1977, with Misener explaining the importance of the event and discussing the conference’s theme ‘The Power of Choice.’

“There are three reasons for these conferences – to share ideas, set direction and build relationships,” he said.

Using 2015 as a focal point and with five CEOs from major suppliers presenting, the business sessions are set to provide vital information and lively discussions among the delegates during the week.

Later that day the group enjoyed a touch of Americana at Aloha Stadium, where they cheered on the University of Hawaii American Football team who were up against Boise State.
