The Liquor Stores Association of NSW (LSA NSW) honoured the state's top retailers and suppliers at its annual LSA NSW Retail Liquor Industry Awards for Excellence presentation dinner last Friday. 

Almost 300 guests including liquor retailers, suppliers, representatives and key industry stakeholders attended the awards at Sydney’s Sofitel, with nominations received from over 180 packaged liquor retailers across NSW for the various categories – the highest number of nominations in the program's 15 year history.

In the retailer categories, Chambers Cellars Meadowbank was awarded the Top NSW Liquor Store of the Year for 2012, while Guy Bredin from Windang Liquor in the Illawarra region was announced as the Liquor Store Manager of the Year. 

Liquor Store Owner of the Year was awarded for the second year in a row to Shane and Tanya Madden from Cellarbrations at Wingham & The Bottle-O North Haven located on the Mid-North Coast, and the BKG Liquor Group won the Retail Liquor Development Foundation Award for Excellence in Training.

In the supplier categories, Lion took home the gong for Beer Supplier of the Year, while Accolade won the title of Wine/Champagne Supplier of the Year.

Coca-Cola Amatil won the award for Spirits Supplier of the Year, and Australian Liquor Marketers took home the award for General Service Supplier of the Year.
