Lyre’s is launching two new dark spirit RTDs to its range, with the limited release of American Malt & Cola and Dark n’ Spicy, just in time for the winter months and Dry July.

The new releases will be available from the June long weekend until sold out. The American Malt & Cola is a blend of Lyre’s American Malt and premium cola, while the Dark n’ Spicy is a mix of ginger beer, lime, Lyre’s Dark Cane and Spiced Cane spirits.

The pre-mixed range was created by the Lyre’s global flavour architect, David Murphy, who said: “Our Dark ‘n Spicy is a classic mix of ginger, lime, toffee and spice, with hints of dark fruits, effortlessly complementing Lyre’s Dark Cane and Spiced Cane non-alcoholic spirits. I recommend enjoying it in a highball glass with lots of ice and a lime wheel.

“The American Malt & Cola boasts richness of vanilla, rye and cola flavours. There’s also hints of caramel and toasted cedar, allowing for a delicious mellow finish. Perfectly served in a rocks glass with a generous amount of ice or just enjoyed cold straight from the can.”

The cans join Lyre’s expanding range of RTDs, which launched at the end of 2020: classic G&T; Amalfi Spritz; and Classico, a non-alcoholic sparkling-style prosecco.

Mark Livings, Lyre’s Co-founder and CEO, said: “We’re continuing to expand our non-alcoholic range with two new dark spirit RTDs in time for winter. Our Classico, Amalfi Spritz and G&T, which we launched in 2020, have already sold out twice and our drinkers have asked for more options for more tastes and occasions.

“Both variants incorporate popular non-alcoholic spirits from our range; American Malt (Bourbon style) and a mix of Dark and Spiced Canes (our Rum styles) as a base. We know over 50% of people are open to drinking a non-alcoholic ready to drink cocktail in an occasion where alcoholic alternatives are available – that’s a large proportion of people looking for quality alternatives like Lyre’s when they are not drinking alcohol.

“Our new launches are extremely exciting for our business and we know that convenience makes it simple to enjoy a Lyre’s anywhere, anytime.”

The new drinks will be available as a 4x250mL pack in a 24-carton at a cost of $99 and will be sold online and at Sans Drinks.
