A man was killed in a Melbourne nightclub yesterday (September 7) morning after he was punched and kicked by two men.

The 24-year-old victim became involved in an argument with two other men before he was punched in the head, causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. He was then allegedly kicked in the head by the second man.

The victim was conveyed to the Alfred Hospital but succumbed to his injuries later in the evening.

Andryas Tello, 21, and Laurn Sako, 18, have been charged and were scheduled to appear in court today (September 8) on assault charges.

However, a police spokesperson said the charges may be amended following the results of an autopsy, which are yet to be released.
