Lion has revealed that the company’s National Sales Director, Mark Powell will be leaving Lion at the end of March 2021.

Powell has been with Lion for 17 years and worked across a number of roles, but most recently as National Sales Director.

Lion said that during his time with the company, Powell has built strong relationships with large national customers and strong independent customers, both on- and off-premise.

Lion Australia Managing Director James Brindley said: “Mark is known, loved and respected by many, and is a true legend of the industry. I would like to thank him for his enormous contribution to Lion over the last 17 years, and wish him all the best for the future.”

Powell thanked Lion for his time with the company and said he was looking forward to taking a break before his next role.

Powell said: “I have loved every minute of my time at Lion. We are lucky to work in such a great industry. I’m looking forward to having a bit of time out before embarking on my next role.”

Lion said that with Powell in the National Sales Director role, the company has always been the leading supplier in customer engagement and has been the best performing supplier in the Advantage survey, winning several times and never finishing out of the top three.
