Australian Vintage has resolved a labelling compliance issue affecting a small quantity of limited edition McGuigan wine that was recalled as a precaution.

McGuigan marketing manager, Scott Burton told TheShout that the recall applied only to the 750ml Black Label 20th Anniversary Reserve 2011 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon.

He stressed that this is a special edition product of which there were only 3000 cases made.

It was recalled due to an undeclared allergen (sulphur dioxide 220), which may have caused a reaction in consumers who have a sulphur dioxide 220 allergy or intolerance.

"A new back label has already been affixed to the product, so I suspect most of it's back on shelf, available for sale," Burton said.
