McLaren Vale Beer Company has now secured a national draught beer presence with the launch of its Vale Ale, and crisp Vale Dry lager into a Toowoomba venue.

The recent acquisition of taps in NT, WA and the ACT has complemented McLaren Vale Beer Company’s growing presence in NSW, Victoria, SA and Tasmania.

The beers will officially launch at the Spotted Cow Hotel in Toowoomba on May 7, and head brewer Jeff Wright will be on hand to discuss the brews and talk about craft beer.

Spotted Crow general manager, Phil Coorey, says that Queensland needed some quality beer choices to “serve as interesting yet accessible gateways into the craft beer market”.

Brisbane-based beer writer Matt Kirkegaard believes Queenslanders are ready to embrace craft beer.

“If a country pub such as the Spotted Crow can make a national name for itself as a great beer venue and not only survive but prosper on the back of great beer, there’s no reason why others can’t.”
