The next experimental release from McLaren Vale Beer Company will be available in bottles for the first time, the brewer has revealed.

MVBeer's Exp range of one-off brews has until now been limited to kegs only.

General manager of operations, brand and hospitality, Josh Stuart, said MVBeer doubled keg production of its most recent experimental release, Exp/003, a Rhubarb Wit.

The Rhubarb Wit is an unfiltered Belgian wheat beer complemented with the additions of ground coriander seed, dried orange peel and rhubarb.

"[Brewer] Jeff Wright cut up 80 kilograms of rhubarb at the brewery by hand to throw in the boil for this particular beer," he said.

"We've been getting some fantastic feedback from good trade venues."

He said the Exp range will be expanded to include bottles for the next Exp brew, which will likely be an Imperial Stout with a release date of July.
