Tambourine Mountain Distillery has continued its international success, taking away four bronze medals at the 2010 London International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC).

The locally produced Ginger Liqueur, Quandong & Gentian Bitters Liqueur, Eaux de Vie Pomme and Grappa all won medals at the prestigious international event.

The family-owned business was also named the most awarded distillery in Australia.

Director Michael Ward said their uniquely flavoured liquors caught the attention of the competition’s judges.

“We often enter very challenging flavours for the judges…products they have never tried before and often totally indigenous to Australia,” Ward said.

The annual competition attracts close to 10,000 competitors, including many Australian producers.

The IWSC medals add to an impressive 10 international awards already given to the distillery this year for its products.
