Melbourne’s largest Rum Club session to date was held on Monday night (March 2) at Golden Monkey bar in Lonsdale Street.

Over 75 of Melbourne’s finest bartenders showed up to the session, which was hosted by Diageo reserve brand ambassador Greg Sanderson.

Sanderson held an interactive discussion and tasting of the Ron Zacapa range, the newest addition to the Reserve Brands’ Australian portfolio.

The consensus amongst the crowd was that it was an excellent evening.

“The session was well set out with the forum and discussions involving everyone, from those with basic to those with extensive knowledge. People felt comfortable to share what they think about rum and, more speficially, Ron Zacapa, well worth checking out.” said Nathan Taylor from 1806.

“Ron Zacapa exceeded all expectations and I can see it featuring on lists Melbourne-wide,” added Andy Griffiths from Cookie.

Ron Zacapa is made from virgin sugar cane honey and is single column distilled. The portfolio includes Solera 23 and Zacapa XO.
