Metcash has announced that one of its Directors, Murray Jordan, has notified the Board of his intention to retire on 31 October 2025.
Jordan joined the Metcash board in 2016 and has since contributed extensive experience in the food, liquor and independent retail sectors. During his tenure, he has served on several board committees, including his current roles as Chair of the Safety and Sustainability Committee and member of the People, Culture and Nomination Committee.
Metcash Chairman, Peter Birtles said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to sincerely thank Murray for his dedication and exceptional contribution to Metcash over the last decade. His leadership and constructive approach to his board colleagues and management team have been invaluable, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
Metcash confirmed that a search process for a new Non-Executive Director to join the Metcash Board is well advanced.
