As of Monday 27 November, Grant Peck has been appointed to Mighty Craft’s Board of Directors as Non-Executive Chair.
A chartered accountant by trade, Peck has been involved in the beverage industry since the 1990s, and speaking about his appointment, he highlighted some of the challenges ahead for Mighty Craft.
“I am excited to be joining the Mighty Craft team today. It’s clear there is a lot of work to be done in the turnaround of the company, however the team has already made significant progress in the redefinition of Mighty Craft. Like many businesses, survival through the last few years has not been a given, and the board understands it must work quickly with shareholders, stakeholders, and customers to swiftly re-position the business to maximise the assets and value created so far,” he said.
Peck has held leadership roles with leading beverage brands such as Lion Nathan and Foster’s Group. In addition, he has been a CFO for CUB and Beringer Blass. While at CUB, Peck managed the supply chain when the business was a multi-beverage model.
Peck also has experience with consumer foods groups, holding the role of CFO at McCormick Foods, as well as managing smaller enterprises such as Sunny Ridge Farms. Most recently, Peck was CEO of health, beauty and wellness label McPherson’s Limited, having previously holding roles as Non-Executive Director and head of the Audit and Risk Committee in the company.
Mighty Craft Managing Director Katie McNamara is excited for Peck to join the team.
“Grant is a wonderful appointment for Mighty Craft and demonstrates the value that lies within the Mighty Craft assets. He has significant experience in beverage companies both from a board and executive perspective and understands the challenge that lies ahead for the company as well as the opportunity. We welcome Grant’s appointment in what is a crucial time in the company’s history,” she said.
