The Australian Grape and Wine Authority (AGWA), which commenced operations on July 1, has announced the appointment of Andreas Clark as acting CEO to lead the new body through its early stages.

Clark was Wine Australia’s acting CEO from September 2013 and has previously held a number of senior management roles with Wine Australia since 2006.

Also this week, an acting chair and board were appointed to the authority:

  • Chairman – Brian Walsh
  • Eliza Brown
  • John Casella
  • Brian Croser AO
  • John Forrest
  • Ian Henderson
  • Janice McDonald
  • Kim Williams AM

The new authority officially came into being yesterday following the merger of Wine Australia Corporation and the Grape and Wine Research Development Corporation.
