Australian Vintage brand Nepenthe has refreshed the packaging of its Tryst range of wines with a modern new look.

The packaging on the Tryst Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2012 and Non Vintage Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir is a more contemporary take on Nepenthe's elegant black, white and gold colour scheme, brand manager Kate Kriven told TheShout.

"The core Nepenthe brand is a little more classic and traditional," she said.

"Just as the [Tryst] wines are blended, modern, drink now styles, the packaging reflects a modern, slightly edgy look."

Kriven said Tryst remains a premium product with fruit predominantly sourced from the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and surrounding vineyards, but it is the "everyday" wine in the Nepenthe portfolio.

"It is blended to enjoy young and is a little more fruit forward than the Nepenthe ranges," she said.

"It's the perfect partner to a home cooked meal throughout the week."
