Club Suntory — the training program of Suntory Australia — has announced the addition of a new ambassador.

From December, bartender Dom O’Brien will join the Club Suntory team to host the UltraPour and master class sessions in Queensland and the Northern Territory.

O’Brien has more than nine years’ experience behind the bar, having worked in Brisbane venues such as Press Club and the Pavillion, as well as at Ginger in Melbourne.

Club Suntory Manager, Nigel Weisbaum, said that they were delighted to be expanding the Club Suntory Program to Queensland and the Northern Territory.

“Our ambassador Dominic is the perfect man for the role having experienced working behind the bar in Brisbane and Melbourne,” he said.

“He is eager to return to his beloved Brisbane to share his knowledge and experience.”

The UltraPour and master class sessions are training programs for bartenders, designed to give them a better understanding of Suntory’s products, and their uses.

Each session covers the history and production details as well as a practical tasting and mixing session.
