The founder of Sydney craft beer bar Bitter Phew has opened a second venue in the city's inner west.

Doris & Beryl's Bridge Club and Tea House is located at 530 King St, Newtown.

The concept is a gin and tea-focused cocktail bar with a "weekend at Nan's" vibe, according to owner Aaron Edwards, who opened Darlinghurst's Bitter Phew early last year.

Mayde Organic Tea is supplying all the teas, some of which are incorporated into a selection of cocktails.

Food will be launched at a later date and is likely to include appropropriate snacks such as gourmet toasties, scones and high tea.

An extensive range of canned craft beers is also available.

Doris & Beryl's has a capacity of 40 persons and is open 5pm-12am Monday to Friday and 3pm-12am Saturday and Sunday.
