After nearly a decade creating professionals in Melbourne, Australia’s leading course for entertainment operations will soon be available in Sydney.

The William Angliss Institute is opening a new training centre in Sydney’s eclectic Surry Hills, with the first Entertainment Operations course beginning in mid-April.

Speaking to TheShout, program coordinator, Peter Lotis Abram says that the industry is notoriously difficult to get a start.

"At William Angliss Institute we've led the way by fostering innovation in our events education programs.”

The move into New South Wales comes directly from the success of the program in Victoria.

“William Angliss Institute is a leading specialist training provider for events, hospitality and foods, and it seems only natural for us to start training young event managers in NSW, in the way we have in Victoria"

Covering both promotional and production coordination, the course is designed to train students in the operations of entertainment events.

The Institute boasts a bulging black book of industry contacts that helps launch students straight into a career in events.
