The Orange region has welcomed Rhonda Sear to the position of executive officer of Taste Orange, replacing the group’s founding executive officer, Kim Currie.

Sear has held several senior management positions within the tourism and hospitality industries over the past 30 years including roles with All Seasons Hotels and Qantas Jetabout.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Rhonda join us at Taste Orange,” commented Taste Orange Chairman, Peter Robson.

“Rhonda has vast experience in both tourism and management which fits well within our structure.”

Taste Orange was formed six years ago when the Orange winemakers saw the need to collaborate with the Orange food producers, accommodation owners and tourism operators.

Since its inception, Taste Orange has helped build awareness for Orange through its ongoing promotional work such as Taste Orange @ Bondi, Orange Wine Week and F.O.O.D. Week.

“I’m looking forward to working with the Taste Orange team and all the members. We are seeing excellent growth of Orange wines as well as the region’s produce,” said Sear.

“It’s a challenging role, but the foundations have been well laid.

“From a wine perspective we will continue to work closely with Wine Australia, NSW Wine and the individual brands to ensure that we are all working for the same goal.”
