McWilliam’s Wines has made new appointments across its export and brand teams this week.

Mark Hely has joined the business in the position of export director, bringing with him considerable overseas distributor experience, having worked on brands including Duracell, Clairol, Sustagen and most recently Mead Johnston Nutrition.

Hely has worked in markets across Asia and Russia and says he is looking forward to working across the McWilliam’s portfolio.

“I am very excited to be joining the McWilliam’s Wine family, who have such a rich and long standing history,” said Hely.

“With an array of quality brands I believe McWilliam’s is ideally positioned for the global stage and look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead.”

Also within the export team is the appointment of Ian Jones to the position of general manager – America.

Jones has a solid wine background, having worked for E&J Gallo for 19 years where he held sales leadership positions in the UK and Europe, as well as being in the finance and supply chain teams in the USA.

Rounding out the changes to the export department is the relocation of Garrick Harvison to Hong Kong where he will continue to look after the APAC region and work even more closely with the local distributor sales teams.

Within the brand team, Vanessa Richardson has come on board as a brand manager.

Richardson previously worked for The Zoo Republic on the Diageo account delivering below-the-line campaigns and brand activations for both on and off-premise.
