Metro Hospitality Group have appointed Paul Walker as the new general manager of Palace Hotel Haymarket, in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

Paul has had a 17-year career in hospitality, including managing the Cleveland Inn in Surry Hills, and as licensee of the Harlequin Inn in Pyrmont. Most recently, Walker was the general manager of the Grand Hotel Mount Morgan, situated in the eponymous tourist mining town in central Queensland.

Nestled between Sydney’s Chinatown district, Capitol Theatre and popular markets, Palace Hotel Haymarket is situated in an always-busy section of Sydney’s CBD, and Walker is looking forward to managing the busy pub and playing to its strengths.

“Palace Hotel has gained a reputation for live local music supporting Sydney’s home grown musicians on Friday and Saturday nights. I am keen to continue this tradition, embracing all Sydney has to offer in the way of live acts,” Paul said.

“My other focus will be on continuing to offer our customers quality fresh creative food at an affordable price.”
