The Annandale Hotel has lodged an application with Leichhardt Council to do works on the hotel which it says will improve the all round facilities and function of the hotel.

The renovations will include alterations and additions including expansion of the existing outdoor seating area, new parking area to the rear of the site, a new main entrance to Parramatta Road, and relocated sliding doors to the Nelson Street side.

According to the hotel’s website, the idea is to improve all aspects of the hotel and provide “quality dining, bar, toilet, gaming and function facilities”.

“This will allow us to cater more effectively to the needs of our music loving patrons and the local community, and operate more like the hotel we are rather than just a venue,” said a statement on the website.

“We feel that these improvements will not only help secure the long term future of the Annandale, but the live music that has helped it become such a unique and loved hotel.”

Those living in the Leichhardt Municipality who would like to support the hotel’s application are invited to email matt@annandalehotel.com so that he can forward these on to the relevant council department.
