A new-look Mount Isa Hotel will reopen tomorrow (Jun 20) following an extensive rebuild that includes a precinct for coffee, food and entertainment.

The historic Queensland property will also feature a footbridge linking the pub and the Redearth Hotel, allowing patrons access to the accommodation property’s room service menu and 18-hour reception.

“The two licensed hotels combined will provide an almost ‘Las Vegas’ entertainment complex in Mount Isa,” said Hakfoort Groups Hotels spokesperson, Albery Hakfoort. “It will feature high-end accommodation of 70 rooms with first-class quality gaming and an almost unheard of choice of food and dining just not available outside the capital cities.”

Other new additions include 100 car spaces, three new bars, a new gaming room, modern restaurant and a covered beergarden with three designated smoking areas. Nineteen plasma screen with integrated music video systems have also been installed at strategic locations within the premises.

Accommodation has been expanded from 24 rooms to 40 with a mix of executive suites available in queen and family. Each suite features an LCD TV, air conditioning, direct dial phone, free wi-fi, Austar and tea and coffee making facilities.
