An exciting new venue from the operators of pub chains Bridie O’Reilly’s and The Elephant and Wheelbarrow has opened in Melbourne’s Docklands area.

Platform 28 is now officially open after a reported $4 million fitout, which sees the venue span over two-storeys and is complete with a sun-deck.

The venue is housed within the heritage Goods Shed North in Docklands, which was formerly a railway goods shed and stays true to the history of the site.

The gastro pub is licensed to hold 560 people, despite owners originally applying for a 750 person license.

The group now operates six pubs across Melbourne, three under the Bridie O’Reilly’s name, two under The Elephant and Wheelbarrow title and now Platform 28.
