Sofi Spritz, the new white wine spritzer brand will shift its marketing focus to the on-premise market after securing a ranging deal with Dan Murphy's.

The deal follows a tasting campaign giving Australian women the opportunity to trial the product. Based on a classic Mediterranean recipe, Sofi blends locally grown riesling grapes, blood orange, bitters and sparkling water to create a crisp bitter-sweet taste.

Founder, Tommy Maclean said he wanted to create a product using Australian wine, while making it lighter and more suitable for the Australian lifestyle.

"I selected South Australian riesling as the base such that the citrus notes of the wine would match the blood orange. The natural sweetness of the riesling grapes also balances the bitters that  we add upon bottling," he said.

"It was our belief all along that consumers appreciate hand crafted quality and natural, indentifiable ingredients," he said.
