The National Independent Liquor Wholesalers Association (NILWA) AGM has kicked off '70s style with an industry welcome dinner held aboard the Majistic Cruiser last night (Sept 23).

The '70s-themed evening saw a number of Elvis’ and even Cheech and Chong board the cruiser at Manly Wharf for a trip around Sydney harbour, while enjoying canapés and a buffet-style dinner.

NILWA managing director, Martin O’Mara, thanked those onboard for their support and presented prizes to delegates for their sporting prowess at the corporate activity of beach cricket and beach volleyball earlier that day.

The conference will come to a close tonight with the signature event – the NILWA Annual Sales and Industry Awards Dinner at Gilberts Ballroom in the Novotel Manly Pacific where the delegates are staying.

Martin O'Mara awards medals to Mark Rowe and Jan Allemand for being the Best Dressed on the night (above) and congratulates the Best Elvis (below), Peter Hart of Fine Wine Partners.
