Australian craft spirits distributor Nip of Courage has added Black Gate Distillery to its portfolio, which now stands at seven producers.

Black Gate Distillery was opened by Brian and Genise Hollingworth in Mendooran, central western New South Wales, in January 2012.

Genise and Brian have travelled throughout New South Wales, Tasmania, Scotland and Ireland researching and gaining knowledge in the art of distilling.

At Black Gate they are now producing small batch aged releases including single malt whisky and single barrel rum, as well as vodka and a unique 'Quandong Liqueur' made from an indigenous peach.  Brian produces his own wash and primarily ages spirits in sherry casks, which gives a delicate smooth mouth feel.

Nip of Courage now carries Australia's largest Australian craft spirit portfolio, according to sales and marketing manager Kathleen Davies.

"Our new product list we are launching in February will feature almost 40 spirit SKUs," she said.
