Now in its second year of raising awareness and building education about the state’s 14 wine regions, NSW Wine Week will return on Sunday (Mar 1), with Sydney’s biggest-ever outdoor wine tasting event.

Sydney Cellar Door at Hyde Park will kick off the weeklong celebration, with more than 100 wineries showcasing their produce to the crowds on the big day.

An impressive selection of food and produce will also be on offer from the state’s regional producers and Sydney’s restaurateurs, with all-day entertainment adding to the festival atmosphere.

Next week will see a range of wine events and activity across the city, including exclusive four-course degustations designed by four of the city’s top chefs and matched to NSW Wine.

The $150-a-head experience, called Tour of the Regions, will be held at Glass, Becasse, Buon Ricordo and Bentley Bar & Restaurant.

Consumers will also get the chance to further explore NSW wine at more than 50 of Sydney’s leading restaurants with a series of special lunch and dinner deals that will be matched to a glass of NSW wine and offered for less than $50.
