Amanda Lampe has joined the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) as its new Chairperson following its Annual General Meeting on 30 November.

As one of Australia’s leading public affairs professionals, Lampe brings a depth of governance and strategy experience to the NTIA, including her recent position as Deputy Chair of Sydney WorldPride 2023.

Lampe is currently the Corporate Relations Director for Diageo in Australia, responsible for public policy and regulation, sustainability, and communications, and has recently completed a corporate leadership program on sustainability at Oxford University’s Säid Business School.

With plentiful experience as a Senior Executive and Board Director, Lampe has worked in consumer goods, biotechnology, aviation, energy and financial services, in addition her role as Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister Julia Gillars and Principal Press Secretary to former NSW Premier Bob Carr.

Joining Lampe on the Board are new appointees Ash Nicholson, CBRE Director of Partnerships, and Karl Schlothauer, Independent Bars Association President.

Mick Gibb, NTIA CEO, says the combined expertise and experience of Lampe and the new Board members comes at a pivotal time for the organisation.

“I am delighted that Amanda, Ash and Karl have joined the NTIA Board. They each bring a unique skill set and experiences that will be vital as the NTIA continues to grow and advocate for the night time economy.

“The night time economy in NSW is undergoing its most significant transformation in years. The role of the NTIA in this evolution is critical. Having the calibre of leaders that we do on our board will mean the NTIA is well placed to deliver for its members and the industry.”

Speaking about her new role, Lampe said she is excited about the potential of the NTIA and the night time economy.

“The NTIA has played a significant role in advocating for the night time economy and its industries since its inception in 2018. Continuing to generate awareness of the value of the night time economy and foster deep collaboration between industry sectors will be pivotal for the organisation.

“I am looking forward to working alongside CEO Mick Gibb and the Board to realise the opportunities for the NTIA and industry.”
