The NSW Riverina winery Nugan Estate has sold one of its vineyards, after putting it up for sale last year.

The family-run winery sold its Cookoothama vineyard, which is one of three it owns in the Riverina. The estate also owns vineyards in King Valley and McLaren Vale.

The 970 hectare property currently holds Semillion, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz vines as well as 325 hectares of olives.

Fairfax Media reports that the property has been bought by companies associated with Riverina cotton grower George Commins.
