Award-winning Yarra Valley winery, Oakridge, has confirmed that it will become part of the Fine Wine Partners portfolio from February 2012.

Oakridge is currently distributed by different agencies in each state and territory across the country, but its new distribution agreement with Fine Wine Partners will see it managed under the one national distributor.

Fine Wine Partners portfolio director, Jeremy Turnham, said that Oakridge will perfectly complement the company’s existing portfolio of wines.

“We are delighted to offer these outstanding, hand-crafted Oakridge wines to our national customer base,” Turnham said.

”The three ranges – Over the Shoulder, Oakridge Local Vineyard Series and Oakridge 864 – further strengthen our portfolio in the key areas of regionally defined Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Oakridge and David and his team.”

Oakridge’s chief winemaker, David Bicknell, has been attracting attention to the label recently, following the The Age/Sydney Morning Herald Good Wine Guide 2012 naming Oakridge as its ‘Winery of the Year’ and the 2010 Oakridge 864 Chardonnay – Lusatia Park to be its ‘Wine of the Year’.

Oakridge will continue under its current distribution arrangement until February next year when Fine Wine Partners will officially take over the reins.
