The annual Oktoberfest Charity Gala was held at the Lowenbrau Keller Oktoberfest Bier Hall recently to raise money for Careflight and Starlight charities.

The event which has been running for more than 10 years has raised over $2 million to date and this year alone raised more than $120k.

Guests dressed up in the traditional Oktoberfest dirndl and lederhosen as they enjoyed ‘pure biers’ and a sumptuous Oktoberfest spread.

Host Larry Emdur ensured guests were in the Oktoberfest spirit while Sophie Katanis and her band got the crowd dancing to 80s classics.

The Lowenbrau Keller is part of the Bavarian Hospitality Group (BHG) which owns a number of venues including the newly-renovated Argyle in the Rocks and the Bavarian Bier Cafés.

The Bavarian Bier Cafes furthered their reach this week with the opening of a Bavarian Bier Café in Chatswood.

Kate Whitehair, Dan Goodrich, Preya McMahon, Jocelyn Simpson and Claire Salvetti enjoy the evening
