Penfolds is offering a free re-corking service to owners of Penfolds wines 15 years and older to assess, top up and re-cork customer’s wines.

The wine making team at the Penfolds Re-Corking Clinics have inspected more than 90,000 bottles over the past 17 years to ensure their prolonged cellar development.

The clinics will visit five capital cities and give Penfolds enthusiasts confidence in their wine investment while offering cellaring tips and advice.

Penfolds chief winemaker, Peter Gago, said a new generation was discovering the benefits of cellaring fine wines and the pleasure of drinking wines as they mature.

“Wine lovers from all over the country visit our clinics, each with stories to share. When we’re assessing a bottle, we consider the vintage, history and how the wine has been cellared,” he said.

A representative from Langton’s Fine Wine Auctions will also be present to advise patrons on the market value of their wine.

The Penfolds Re-corking Clinic kicks off tomorrow at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel before travelling to Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.
