In the 14th year of the Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS), Penfolds is among the e-commerce leaders and innovators recognised in this year’s awards.

The awards ceremony was held at the ICC Sydney Grand Ballroom on 20 July, the final night of the Online Retailer Conference and Expo. Winners came from a diverse range of brands and included both domestic and global companies.

Penfolds was awarded the Best Online Food & Beverage Retailer in recognition of its success in online retail, as well as Best Phygital Initiative, an award that commends initiatives that work across both physical and online retail.

Gary Starr, executive general manager of Australia Post’s parcel, post and e-commerce services, commented on the award’s continual growth.

“The calibre of entries in this year’s ORIAS, from businesses of all sizes and scale, is incredible and it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate their success. Each of these businesses play a key role in helping to build Australia’s economic prosperity and at Australia Post we are proud to champion their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and diversity through our inaugural Australia Post Impact Awards,” noted Starr.

Other awards include Kmart, which won the inaugural Australia Post Diversity and Inclusion Impact Award, Cue which won both Best Online Fashion Retailer and Hall of Fame, and the Online Retailer of the Year, birdsnest

Event director Matt Smith praised the winners.

“The ORIAS celebrate the retailing innovators who continuously set new standards of excellence in both online and in-store experiences. Through their unwavering dedication, passion, and pioneering spirit, they inspire the industry as a whole in an ever evolving global economy,” Smith concluded.
