Barossa Valley winemaker Peter Lehmann Wines Limited has named Jeff Bond as its new GM, a position he will take up from July 1.

MD Doug Lehmann will retire at the end of this financial year after 20 years of developing the business and will take on the role of deputy chairman of the Peter Lehmann Wines board.

The company is majority owned by Swiss-based Hess Family Estate.

Jeff Bond

"We're happy to welcome Jeff to the Peter Lehmann Wines family," said HFE chairman Donald Hess. "He brings with him a deep knowledge of the industry and the markets in which we operate.”

Bond has 17 years experience in the food and beverage industry but this will be his first GM role.

“Jeff’s expertise is in creating innovative consumer focused strategies and plans which deliver profitable growth and this makes him a great addition to the Peter Lehmann Wines’ team," said Hess.

"I'm confident he'll play a key role in our future growth as we continue to make outstanding premium wines for distribution in Australia and in our key markets of Europe and the USA.”
