Peter Lehmann Wines collected two trophies at the Royal Sydney Wine Show today for an Eden Valley Riesling and a Barossa Semillon.

The 2002 Peter Lehmann Reserve Eden Valley Riesling was awarded the Douglas Lamb Perpetual Trophy for the Best Riesling, Dry Style in Show. The 2002 Peter Lehmann ‘Margaret’ Barossa Semillon was awarded the RAS of NSW Semillon Annual Trophy for the Best Semillon in Show.

“To have won the Trophy for the Best Semillon in Sydney and under the Chairmanship of James Halliday, is something that I’m extremely proud of and reinforces that we can mix it with the very best Semillons from the Hunter and all over Australia,” said Peter Lehmann chief winemaker, Andrew Wigan.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Now that these wines are sealed under screw cap, the freshness and class is further guaranteed for years to come, just as we, the winemakers, have intended.”

The 2002 Reserve Eden Valley Riesling is available through wine retailers at an RRP of $40.00. The 2002 ‘Margaret’ Barossa Semillon retails for $30.00.
