Premium beer distributor, Phoenix Beers, is set to kick off a tasting campaign in 75 retail liquor outlets across NSW and ACT to boost the profile of its international beer and cider portfolio.

Launching on Friday, 24 September, consumers will be able to sample three different beers from Germany’s Weihenstephan brewery including the award-winning Pils, Kristall and Hefe varieties, enjoy a taste of English brewers Wells and Youngs’ Banana Bread Beer and their Double Chocolate Stout – made from chocolate malt and real dark chocolate – and sip on Stassen Belgian cider and Henney’s English cider in selected stores.

As part of the promotion, consumers who purchase a three or four- pack of the Weihenstephan range will receive a free weizen glass to take home.

Todd Barac from Phoenix Beers said the concept behind the tasting campaign is to educate consumers about the drinks with the goal of creating a step-change in the way people drink beer and cider.

“With this campaign, our aim is to literally open up a whole new world of beer and cider for people to explore,” he said. “These are some of the best beers and ciders from around the globe and we are thrilled to be able to offer them here in Australia.”
