Berry Bros. & Rudd Spirits and The Indian Ocean Rum Co. have announced that Pink Pigeon, a rum from Mauritius has arrived in Australia.

The spirit, which is an un-aged spiced rum, will be distributed nationally through Samuel Smith & Son.

Ty Menzies, national business manager principals & trading at Samuel Smith & Son said: “Samuel Smith & Son are excited about the addition of Pink Pigeon from the Berry Bros & Rudd stable. It is terrific to have such a quality product to offer in this category, which is in growth and will strengthen our offer in the On-Premise and Specialist Retail channels.

"We look forward to strengthening our on-going relationship with Berry Bros & Rudd and will be looking for other brand opportunities to join in the future.”

Featuring botanicals of Bourbon vanilla, orchid petals and orange peel, Pink Pigeon is described as having an "extra zingy lift and a fresh lively edge," with sweetness from pure sugar cane syrup.

Luke Tegner, brands’ marketing director at Berry Bros. & Rudd said: “After being positively received by some of the top rum bars in London, and subsequent interest from barmen in Australia, we are delighted to be able to offer Pink Pigeon to the Australian consumer.”

Pink Pigeon will be available nationally through Samuel Smith & Son from March 2016 with a $58 rrp.
