Vanguard Luxury Brands has announced it is now distributing Campo de Encanto pisco in Australia, tapping into a booming market for South American products.

“We’re really excited about this great new brand. Australia is having a love affair with all things South American,” Vanguard Luxury Brands managing director, James France, said.

“Look at the popularity of great restaurants such as Porteño (Argentinian), Moreno (Peruvian) and Boteco (Brazilian) and the myriad of Brazilian churrasceria all over the country. The pisco market has been largely neglected and we are happy to be introducing Campo de Encanto to this country.”

Campo de Encanto was created by renowned San Francisco bartender Duggan McDonnell, who said the product works great on its own or in cocktails, especially the classic Pisco Sour.

It is available in two variants, Quebranta and Acholado. It is handcrafted in the Ica Valley of Peru, where it is distilled with nothing else added to the final product.

Campo de Encanto has already found itself a place in the back bars of leading US bars such as New York’s Death & Company, and has received accolades including being named Best Pisco of Peru in 2010.
