A product recall is being conducted by Ampersand Projects for its Pink Gin Soda, Vodka Soda and Vodka Soda Black all 355ml.

The recall is due to a packaging fault resulting in the lid popping off the bottle.

The products have been available for sale at BWS, Dan Murphy’s and online nationally and independent retailers, liquor stores and licensed premises in QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS and WA.

Ampersand said the key message for independent retailers is it was only certain batches of the pink gin only and not all products. 

The specific batches the recall refers to are:

Pink Gin Soda & 4.2% 355ml Aluminium Bottle

  • Batch: LC14  BB: 05.08.23
  • Batch: LC18  BB: 01.09.23 – 03.09.23
  • (Sold at Independent Liquor stores)
  • Batch: LC13 BB: 23.08.23 – 25.08.23
  • (Sold at BWS and Dan Murphy’s)

Vodka Soda & 4.2% 355ml Aluminium Bottle

  • Batch: LC11 BB: 14.08.23 – 16.08.23
  • (Sold at BWS and Dan Murphy’s)

Vodka Soda Black 6.0% 355ml Aluminium Bottle

  • Batch: LC12. BB: 10.08.23 – 13.08.23
  • (Sold at BWS and Dan Murphy’s)

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said this product with may cause injury if opened. Consumers should not open or drink this product and dispose of it safely (away from body). Please contact Ampersand Projects for safe disposal instructions and to arrange reimbursement.
