Tamborine Mountain Distillery (TMD) scooped the international awards circuit again this month, taking home two awards for its handcrafted spirits at the Food Challenge Awards at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

TMD’s Australian Herbal Liqueur, a botanical of lemon myrtle, aniseed myrtle, native peppermint and eucalyptus, took out the coveted Alcoholic Beverages Award. Moulin Rooz Absinthe, five-times distilled from grapes with a balance of elderflower, gentian, fennel seed, hyssop and wormwood, was highly commended.

TMD is a small family-owned business based in the Gold Coast hinterland that has consistently triumphed at liquor competitions the world over.

Most recently, it received three awards at the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition in London last month.

TMD was awarded best in class for its Arak/Raki Pastis and bronze medals for its Chocolate Liqueur and TMD Whiskey Liqueur.
