Victoria's Red Hill Brewery will now have its beers available in Sydney with the signing of a new distribution agreement with Beach Avenue Wholesalers.

Red Hill's Karen and David Golding last week hosted a tasting of their full range of beers at The Local Taphouse in an event attended by media and trade.

Karen Golding told TheShout that the expansion into Sydney is part of a change in direction for Red Hill under which it decided to close its Mornington Peninsula cellar door and restaurant attached to the brewhouse.

She said the move will enable Red Hill to focus more closely on making beer and the deal with Beach Avenue is the first step in facilitating wider distribution.

Red Hill's range of beers include its flagship Golden Ale, alongside a Pilsner, Wheat Beer, Scotch Ale and special edition brews.
