Cider has carved out a place for itself as the perfect summer drink in Australia, served over lashings of ice, but Swedish cider brand, Rekorderlig, is set to change that with the launch of its Winter Cider.
The limited edition Rekorderlig Winter Cider is made from Rekorderlig’s apple cider base and is infused with cinnamon and vanilla notes which become more apparent when the cider is served gently warmed.
Patrick Ale, managing director of Red Island, importer of Rekorderlig, said he expects big things from the latest addition to the Rekorderlig range.
“With the huge success of the Apple, Pear, Strawberry-Lime and recently Wild Berries, among both males and females aged 22 to 35, Rekorderlig Winter Cider is guaranteed to excite the Australian cider market, with a never seen before, new and innovative product,” said Ale.
“The festively designed cinnamon and vanilla infused cider will be sure to bring a touch of warmth to the colder, winter months.”
According to Ale, the Rekorderlig Winter Cider has an array of different taste profiles when served at contrasting temperatures. When served cold over ice, the vanilla tones are more prominent in comparison to when the cider is served warm, where the festive, spicy, cinnamon tones come through a great deal stronger.
“Rekorderlig Winter Cider is an exciting product for us as it shows consumers how versatile cider can be throughout the year,” said Ale. “We look forward to reinforcing Rekorderlig’s position as the benchmark in premium European cider brands, all year round.”
Rekorderlig Winter Cider will be available from June and has an RRP of $7.99.
