Swedish cider brand Rekorderlig has given its seasonal Winter Cider a new name, a new look and made it available all year round.
The Spiced Apple Cider, described as "a cider for all seasons" will now be available for 12 months a year, and can be served two ways: hot in winter or chilled over ice in summer.
This winter Rekorderlig will be providing venues with urns and miniature tankards to help serve consumers with the warmed cider. The company said that the warm serving "enhances the flavour, releasing the vanilla and cinnamon notes".
The newly named and packaged Spiced Äpple Cider will be available from May 2015 and will coincide with the launch of the Rekorderlig Sounds In The Snow. A series of music events that will be taking place at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel throughout the snow season. It is here that all of the snowboarding and skiing revellers can enjoy Spiced Äpple Cider after a day on the slopes.
Cider has traditionally been a drink for the summer, served over ice in the sun. However, globally the category is becoming less seasonal with 76 per cent of 18-24 year old consumers now drinking cider all year round.
