Rekorderlig will launch a draught version of its flavoured cider in time for the Australian summer, with the Strawberry-Lime variety to be rolled out on tap in mid-October.
Initially available in just the one flavour, Rekorderlig plans to introduce other varieties on draught in the future.
John Logue, customer marketing manager for Rekorderlig, said the new draught format capitalises on the brand's position as Australia's favourite flavoured cider.
“Both flavoured and premium ciders are driving the packaged cider category. At Rekorderlig we are proud to have the number one flavoured cider in hotels here in Australia and we excited to bring that product to draught,” he said.
Available at selected venues, Logue said the draught format will give operators flexibility in serving the product.
"By offering the unique ability to rebrand the font through interchangeable branding, the venue is able to hook up a different keg and pour a different Rekorderlig Cider within minutes," he said.
The draught product will be available at selected outlets through current distribution partners Red Island, before Coca-Cola Amatil takes over sole distribution rights for Rekorderlig early next year.
The Swedish cider company has enjoyed a surge in popularity in Australia since launching in 2009, with over half its 460,000 worldwide Facebook 'likes' coming through its Australian site.
