Iconic Sydney venue Ruby Rabbit will open its newly renovated doors tonight (Jul 1) to a lucky few to showcase its impressive revamp.

The new-look Ruby Rabbit is a multi-faceted venue, with hidden doors and maze-like rooms designed to provoke different experiences and escapism.

Owners Paul Schell and Phil Cawood have created a unique destination and journey to cater to different tastes.

“The intention is to create five venues with totally separate identities in one space,” Schell said. “There are no cohesive themes. Rather it is evolutionary through its self.”

The ground floor features a fully-licensed American-style roadside diner called the Big Rig Diner, which will be serving food all day.

This area leads into a New York-inspired speakeasy style haunt called the Houndstooth Room an entirely different drinking den to the diner.

The first floor has been converted into an open conceptual bar that will change every few weeks. Sitting above this floor is the popular De Nom in the penthouse suite.

The extensive renovation also includes a hidden room called the Ryeball Room, accessed through a Prague-style phone booth.
