Barossa-based winery, Schild Estate, has released a new wine at this year’s ProWein exhibition which addresses a gap within the premium end of its portfolio.

Named ‘Prämie’ or ‘Premium’ in German, the new product will be positioned between the Ben Schild Reserve Shiraz which retails for $35 and the Limited Release Moorooroo which retails for $100 per bottle.

“Due to the demand of Moorooroo, Prämie has been released to fillan important position in the premium portfolio,” said Schild Estate family proprietor, Judy Watson.

Sourcing fruit from 40 year-old vineyards, Prämie will be available to a number of accounts that have been unable to access Mooroorooo,” she said.

Prämie will be launched at events in Adelaide and Sydney in mid to late May which will be synchronized with a global release at the same time.
