Schweppes Australia has hit a winner after announcing it will become the presenting partner of the Australian Pro Tour from 2009 to 2012.
As the official partner of the Australian Pro Tour, Schweppes will receive exclusive pourage rights across all affiliated clubs in Australia and the 24 Australian Pro Tour events and tennis clubs.
Schweppes sales director, Peter Scott, said the company was excited to have Cool Ridge Water as the official beverage of the Pro Tour.
“Schweppes is proud to support the event. Our investment and partnership is a strong sign of the scale, profile and attractiveness of the Australian Pro Tour event. We feel the Cool Ridge brand is the ideal partner for the Australian tennis community and the Australian Pro Tour,” Scott said.
Tennis Australia manager tennis operations, Cameron Pearson, said the partnership and financial incentive for clubs was an exciting and positive opportunity for all tennis clubs across Australia.
“Maintaining and growing a local tennis club is a large responsibility and is often shouldered by passionate community members who volunteer their time to manage the tennis clubs,” Pearson said.
“Through this simple model, clubs will now be able to raise much needed funding for club facilities and members, by encouraging the sale of beverages.”
The Australian Pro Tour, presented by Cool Ridge, is a series of 24 ATP/ WTA world ranking points events held nationally and includes top Australian tennis players, competing against a host of international players.
