Stella Artois is on the hunt to find Australia’s best professional beer pourer to represent the nation at the Stella Artois World Draught Masters in New York on October 29.

Applications are now open to determine who will compete in the Australian Draught Masters, which will see finalists flown to and accommodated in Sydney to battle it out on September 9.

Competitors must master the seven minute, nine-step pouring ritual, resulting in the beverage being served in the cleanest glass, at the correct temperature, with the correct foam level and with no overflow.

The Australian Draught Master and a friend will then be flown business class to Brussels to visit the Stella Artois brewery in Leuven, Belgium before flying to New York to compete in the world final.

The Australian winner will also receive a $5000 cash prize, an outfit by a leading Belgian designer, deluxe accommodation for three days in Belgium and seven days in New York.

The World Draught Master winner will be crowned Global Ambassador of Stella Artois and will receive 2500 Euros.
