Cricket legend Shane Warne will be joined by footballer Dean Cox and rugby player Matt Giteau for the official opening of the Carbon Sports Bar at Perth’s Burswood Entertainment Complex tomorrow.
The three sportsmen will attempt to win $50,000 for a charity of their choice by answering a series of questions surrounding their sport. Warne has nominated his own children’s charity—the Shane Warne Foundation—while Cox has elected the McCusker Foundation for Alzheimer’s disease research and Giteau has opted to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
The event is open to accredited media only.
The Carbon Sports Bar features a projector screen stretching 12.5m across and 4m high, with 16 high-definition 52-inch plasma screens spread around the bar. The venue also features TAB and KENO lounge facilities.
The Burswood Entertainment Complex is an international-class venue with 15 bars and restaurants, a casino, Holiday Inn and InterContinental hotels. For more information visit www.burswood.com.au.
