The Unity Hall Hotel in Balmain has sold at auction for $10 million to the Singleton consortium and is expected to undergo a full refurbishment.

The selling price was almost half the valuation of $20 million the property is believed to have been worth in 2007.

The infamous Balmain venue joins the Toxteth Hotel, Kinselas, Peakhurst Inn and Bellevue Hotel in the portfolio of hotels owned by John Singleton and the Lazard Carnegie Wylie fund.

As with these other properties, it will be run by the Riversdale Group.
